NVH Anechoic Chamber Construction
Technical Challenges
A semi-anechoic chamber meeting international standards is required for vehicle NVH testing.
Solutions
Build a large semi-anechoic chamber with a cutoff frequency of 8 Hz and background noise ≤ 15dB(A).
Implementation Results
Third-party certified to meet full-vehicle NVH testing requirements.
Project Background
The automotive R&D center plans to construct a semi-anechoic chamber compliant with ISO 3745 standards for NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) performance testing and development of new vehicle models.
Technical Details
- Anechoic chamber dimensions: 12m × 10m × 8m (internal net dimensions)
- Absorption Wedge: Fiberglass, Length 1.2m, Cutoff Frequency 80Hz
- Background noise: ≤15dB(A) (compliant with GB/T 6882 standard)
- Floor: High-load steel grating, load capacity ≥ 500kg/m²
- Test device interfaces: Reserved ports for power supply, data acquisition, video surveillance, etc.
